Unity Free Tutorials

Looking through tutorials

This tutorial looked very easy to begin with and I was really looking forward to making my works looks a lot more crisp and clear so you can see it from a distance without the text becoming all fussy and unclear and when I was following the tutorial I had to install an asset to help make things easier and have some font family which would really accompany my game in the theme I am going for but instead after the installation it had a big error. I am now unable to play my game or input the crisp text that I wanted to have.

I was really trying to make some platforms that move and maybe go side to side but for now all I wanted is for the part to go 360 at a slow speed making the game harder and based more on skill instead of a 50/50 chance. I think it would also more as some parts that could push you off the map as well as a path that you can move on.

Well that is all I have for you guys for now but I hope you have enjoyed the blog I also hope my game start working soon wish me luck!

Games Testing

Games Testing

It is important to have nobody around you when you want to give your own personal feedback
Source Image Here
When it comes to testing a game whether it be your own game or someone else, you have to be truly honest with yourself. There is a word that comes to mind when you have your own opinion that will help better someone elses project and that word is called "Criticism". I think that when you testing or reviewing I should say, somebody elses game it is important to have brutal honestly. It really does help the person in the long run before the finished project because they will be able to listen to what you said and make the decision by himself if he would like to add it in or leave the change that he currently has in his own game.

I believe personally that the best form of criticism is an unbiased one because it is free of the individual opinion and your peers personal taste.

You  may be wondering... HOW DO I GIVE GOOD FEEDBACK

Well I have a few example of good Criticism and bad ones

Good Example

I like the menu you picked for your shooter game but I feel like your text should not be in a bubble font unless you are making it for the target audience of 5+

Bad Example

I don't like your game its not fun at all

My Game Development Update

My Game Development

I am trying to figure out how I would like the movement of my game to move because of how efficient and simpler it would be for people to understand it. So far my game is playable and you are able to slowly increase in speed if you want to make it to the next stages. I am trying to find a way to make my player rise up faster and have the background stars show different color to show that the difficulty has changed.

The only problem that I am having a problem with, was to figure out how I would like my game to work to have a certain 3D platform feel.

Unity Free Tutorials

Unity Tutorials I found interesting

There are some tutorials that I have looked through because I was not sure that some of the scripts and parts I wanted were as advanced enough so I was trying to see if I could upgrade them or maybe master some texture or lighting effects to make my map look the way that I picture it in my head.

In this tutorial I was trying to figure out how to make my left and right movement more fluently because I wanted my ball (player) to have more control so I would have my game not only playable but it can be able to be finished and passable.

I was trying to find a way to figure out how to make my game as simple and do able as possible because I would love for my audience to have the instructions to know how my game go as simple as it is so I wanted to put a text there and change the color and fonts

I was trying to make my game as easy for the user as possible so I wanted to have the game automatically restart when you "die" So I made an invisible base plate So when you touch you start again.

I wanted to have my map look good so I wanted to have good lighting or reflection and playing with the reflection for the texture or shine.

I think that is was a great experience and I look forward to seeing what my game turns into

Game Stories

Game Stories

I was reading through some of peoples stories of how they came across their game and made it work by taking a huge risk and going for it no matter the outcome.

I was reading about an RPG game called Rollers of the Realm. It was founded by a company called Phantom Compass and it was founded in 2008 that was made to develop games for kids Tv producers. They were very product but they lacked in funds for low budget flash games. Later on in late 2011 they laid off literally dozens of staff members, more than half of the members that were laid off were over qualified in experience. The phantom compass founder Tony Walsh and production head Ericka Evans saw an opportunity in this and brought some of the best vets into a meeting with the indie team. A triple side A came to them with high production values and experience with shipping large titles. They took a big risk combining 2 distinct teams and choosing a unlikely mash up of pinball and role-playing games. They ended up with 3 years, 2 funding rounds and nearly 50 extended team members later exceeding everyone's expectations.

See what happened was they had an original idea for the game Rollers of Realm when both Phantom compass and laid off triple A friends came together. They came up with a simple idea that was easy to get behind and enough scope to produce 3-6 months. Their friend Tom Beirnes brought up Pinball Quest as something that had not be done before at the time in the early 90's.
This was a 2D protype
The concept opened alot of doors and gave them some ideas to start working off of. They managed to put together a 2D prototype of the game in time for GDC 2012 and got ready to show their game to the world. When they showed it off everybody liked to so much so infact that they were given a fund which they immediately used to turn their 2D game idea into the first major 3D game. One the public started to find about and enjoy their idea they decided to start making characters to help keep the story narrative simple and place focus on the old misfit playable characters.
They made a 3D major Game
The next step on the development of the game was finding out if it was fun and if people where going to enjoy at as much as they hoped that they would so they did what anybody else would do when the game was close to completion and they hire around 100 testers  all different age ranges to play the game and give feedback and the game
Full version with people playing the game for testing
When all of that was done they had to look and think what platform that they would like to have their own game like xbox or pc ect.
The moral of the story is at first they had a lot of problem and they were struggling and they were down on there luck but after taking risks and doing things that nobody else would think about and they got there in the end because of  dedication and a hard working team.

This is the picture of the game I put the mesh renderer on so you can see the white floor as the restart part on touch.
I have spent a good few hours working on the restart on touch part because for some reason it was not able to work I was unable to figure out why but I was able to find out a situation after looking thought plenty of YouTube videos to find a good script also I was able to figure out that I did not rename a part correctly. I am trying to figure out how I am going to spawn players (bot) to chase the real player all the way to the finishing point. I was also considering that I might want to make sound effects in the game so that it would be more realistic or more fun to have something more to look forward to in the game. I plan to meet my goal by working on finding more videos and assets so on the day it is basically import my ideas and modify it to my style.

Week 9 Progress

Week 9 Progress

I am so happy with how my progress with this Course and this module is going because I am doing amazing and I am very shocked because I did not think that I would be able to keep it intact due to my bad time management but I was surprised to find out that it is very flexible to work around and I was able to make it and bring it around my own time schedule which is amazing that it can be done anywhere online and I am very thankful that they made it so all the information is on as part of the assignments because I am able to learn and complete my assignments at the same time. I will not lie to you guys.. I do not have the best weekly routine but I am improving and getting help about it which is making me feel a lot better about how my work is going. The task I am enjoying the most out of this course is unity tutorial because I am a practical learning and visual so I am very good at replicating what I see in videos so it is needless it is the highlight of my week. I have also been using some of the extra credit later on because I did not know that it was extra I thought it was only if you missed an assignment but since I have learned I have been doing some easy ones such as making memes and fake comment generator which I found it a little entertaining.

This is an image from when I was using unity tutorials to help me advance on my game and improve my skills which I very much enjoyed.

I have honestly say that there is nothing I want to change I hope it stays the same or at least the way the timetable is similar. If I was to try something new in the future it would have to be a more complicated game to try work on my skills.

I will try to stay motivated to all my assignments and try to keep on task.

How can I explain the type of information that I have been receiving over the last couple of weeks/months...

I think that I would rate my overall information and guidance that I have been receiving from them all an outstanding 10/10 because of how they not only where able to encourage me on how my work and planning skills where working out they also where telling me about how they think my ideas may and may not work and made my changes or my mind think about my game in different kind of aspects and I was able to benefit from there new and unique ideas when I hit a rough patch in the road of my game. They were able to give me ideas and even though it did not benefit me at the very start it did help me with a fresh start and I am very grateful for that.

I would like to believe that the comments that I am leaving are very informative because I have been following a few tips and tricks that I have been thought by the few readings that I have read such as WWW and TAG. I was able to let them know what I thought about their game and what I enjoyed the most about there game with aspect and also gave them some information on what could be added or improve there game as well as how to make it easier for us to know where they are at with the game on blog with pictures or screenshots. I was able to improve my own writing and questions by reading some of my classmates way of phrasing things and trying to adopt to they way they do it with my own spin to it.

I have not only benefited from the blog for my own personal use but it has allowed me to help connect with some of my class mates because it had given me an insight toward the way I see my friends and I was able to see what they are capable of in terms of skills and creativity. I have also gotten to have a look into there social life which I think is very good because it gives us more to talk able and allows me to see things that I never knew about them whether it be natural blogger or ex YouTube. So I am very happy that I was able to explore other peoples blogs.

I would like to see more advances made on how to make a successful blog like how to make it very colorful and attractive for a global public blogger standard. I would also be looking forward to the amount of task that we have next year and hopefully we will be able to have all of our certificate for Expert Bloggers. I am hoping to be able to master blogger so I can use this to connect with countless people all over the world.

Week 9 Reading and Writing

Reading and Writing

Reading

I enjoy reading about what makes quality games because I never really had that big of an insight on making games and what it took  to make a really good games because I used to think that when you have a game in mind you just all start to build it and do trial and error without all the other steps of planning out and showing an outline and sketches. I was able to learn about what made a good game work and the different approach that you could used to help make or break your game. I did not know that there was a lot of different genres that were categorized in a game such as the following:

  • Role Play
  • Virtual Reality
  • Simulation
  • Massive Multiplayer Online
  • Casual Game
  • Party Game
  • Puzzles
  • Action
  • Adventure
Pick the Genre and Run the Game.

Source for both Images ( here )

I would like to be the first one to say that the reading was the best thing for me because I would never have had the energy nor the knowledge to know where to find it or read it by choice but since it was made as part of the assignment it made it very easy for me keep my mind at ease knowing that I have it as an assignment as I could also do my learning all in one done but what makes it a lot easier is the time limit that we have because of how we all have our own pace in reading so we can look through the information for 30 min. I feel like the assignment in general had been a success considering the reading and less practical aspect of the assignment is very good and I am getting everything figured out and done within the due date as the weeks go on. My original project with the information that I have learned was very good on paper but however it was very hard to make to make my idea come to life however I was able to start a new game and it is coming again swimmingly.

I was trying to make it very simple and have a lot of my ideas from the previous one involved during the transition of change however I have decided that I will only take 1 aspect from the game and try to fix the problem that I have gotten myself into by changing the game completely.

When I look back at my project that I was planning to do about Space Pong it was a very good concept and was very original in my eyes and I thought that it would turn out amazing and it was almost about to become real but I forgot that everything always looks good on paper until the process begins and from that I realized that it was very hard to make my vision come out because of the fact that I was thinking ahead of my current abilities and even though my did not have to be perfect as a prototype I had to make cuts as I noticed I was not where I hoped to be when I got to a certain stage.

Unity Free Tutorial

Unity Free Tutorial

I changed my game but I was able to use some of the tutorial in order to make my game. I did not need a lot of tutorial because I knew how to do some of it because I kept it very simple. Here are some of the tutorials I have used to help make my game work well and come to the amazing improved game that is has changed into currently.

I was able to learn from the player controls on the paddles and remaster it to fit my game and put my controls into my balls so it was able to have movement like left and right.

I was able to figure out that instead of making a whole ui menu to show the player instructions we could have it in real time to teach them the controls as the game is in progress to show how to play and also to stop the petty switch from game to pause menu to learn basic instructions to prolong the gaming experience.

I feel like my game is starting to come together because this is my first time making a game on a new software and it is very much detailed and had to be done specifically from scratch wish makes the whole experience that much harder and fulfilling.

Tech Task: Fake Social Media Generator

I was able to make a fake comment generator pretty simple. I really had fun making it because I did not think that it was going to be simple but it was fun to make I can not wait to make some more.

First Playable

First Playable

I wanted to make my game a little simple for me to make because of how hard it is to make a game. I have changed my idea slightly. I see how much effort it takes to make a game and I went with some concepts and rearranged my style. I went with a sort of speed runner type of game and I was able to come up with a level with obstacles and and it is not 100% certain yet but I am hopping to spawn enemies and try to slow you down and maybe push you off the map.

What I enjoy?
I am enjoying the building process of the map and the way the I can adjust the map as I play to make it suitable.

What I am finding difficult?
The scripting is very hard to get my head around and understand the process of how to make everything work and sync together.

Here are some obstacles that I was talking about above.

Tech Task: Meme Generator

Meme Life

I was making a meme and it was very fun to make because I have never made one before. I will be honest when I saw I was never really into memes as a child but I can see why people enjoy them but I ended up making a meme today. Like the saying goes "If you cant bet them... join em" so I shall. If you look below you will be able to witness the meme I made and came up with.

I hope you enjoy it.

Game Fun

Game Fun

I was learning about how there was a long discussion that went from November of 1989 till May 1990 between the wizzes which means highly experienced players, of ranked witches or wizards on a commercial in the UK ( Bartle, 1990bBurka, 1995). Funny enough it was all sparked up by one simple question and that was "What do you people want out of a MUD?" and it started to draw up some debates and people were starting to question certain topics, it comprised several hundred bulletin-board posting, typically concerning what people liked and what they didn't like, what they played and changes they would like to see "improve" the game. It was a huge discussion and there was over 15 people that took part which brought more people into a more furious conversation that was not easily settled, this comprised almost the entire set of wizzes during the period. It did help that people that were contributing to this argument was the most advanced players in MUD that could be taken as evidence that that they prefer a more game-like aspect over social ones.

The 4 thing that people where really excited about MUD were:

  • Players give themselves game-related goals, and vigorously set out to achieve them. This usually means accumulating and disposing of large quantities of high-value treasure, or cutting a swathe through hordes of mobiles (ie. monsters built in to the virtual world).

  • Players try to find out as much as they can about the virtual world. Although initially this means mapping its topology (ie. exploring the MUD's breadth), later it advances to experimentation with its physics (ie. exploring the MUD's depth).

  • Players use the game's communicative facilities, and apply the role-playing that these engender, as a context in which to converse (and otherwise interact) with their fellow players.

  • Players use the tools provided by the game to cause distress to (or, in rare circumstances, to help) other players. Where permitted, this usually involves acquiring some weapon and applying it enthusiastically to the persona of another player in the game world.

Prototype

Prototype

I think that it is going to be very difficult to make my idea come to life because even though it sounds like a very simple idea and does not sound like much it will have a lot of objects parts and coding that I will need to be able to figure out and make it all come together. I feel like my idea is working well and I am on the right track and trying to figure out how to make a working scoreboard at the end however I think the part that I am trying to make work would have to be obstacles spawning out randomly to intercept and change the trajectory of the ping pong ball.

I plan to watch a few tutorials and implement it on my game within sections and only take the part  that I feel will most benefit my game.

Here is an outline on illustrator of how I imagine it working out.

Unity Tutorial 6

Unity Tutorial 6

Hey Guys. I am glad you are coming back to check up on me. I was on my next stage of the unity tutorial. I found it very amazing and extremely mind boggling because I think that it the coding is and will always be the hardest thing to get your mind around but the building and exploring new features was always the highlight of my tutorials. At this stage in the tutorial I learned how to make a wind zone that can effect the environment around me and also was able to make trees and bushes look very much realistic. I am really excited that I was also able to complete picking up weapon script because it is a very useful basic thing to learn much like how to pick up items. I  would like to add that having more objects to add to the word make everything really come together because it does not look plain and starts to evolve into a theme or mood.  I would also like to end by saying that I was also to make a very simple but hard fade in and fade out effect inside games.

I feel like I am learning a lot of useful skills from the tutorials and everyday I am gaining my experience to be able to make a basic simple game that is going to be able to use some of these good advises. I have some images of the work I did in unity down below.

Games Decision

Game Decision

We are here trying to decide the types of choices that would have a better success rate for your game.
(Here are peoples projects I think you would like to look at)

I have learned that MMO games are very popular in the industry. It is however very complex to make due to technical issues in server scaling along with the scaling of economics, politics, level design, pacing, persistence and progression. It is very big and will most likely cost you a fortune but the unquestionable fact that more players are better and always has a big fan base so it is worth pursuing.

Now it is not all bad news because MUD's (Multi User Dungeon) have dozens to thousands of people in population and still have vibrant communities. There are some games like Multiplayer Minecraft which is very popular despite its reliance and relatively small instance server. There are many more modern hits such as fortnight which focuses on the matches of 100 people or less.

In thoughts of a social group I think it is smart to know what and how you would like the amount of players you meet on a daily would be categorized in your game. In a game if there was a task that you had to work together on in order to reach your goal or accomplish it quicker because groups have overlapping individual network. I believe that the performance as a whole depends on how the friendship bones across the entire group are leveraged to accomplish and share activity. That is way it is important to know where you stand in importance in a social group. I think this would help in explaining.

Good Examples of MMO's

I would give the games below a 10/10 for what a good MMO game looks and feels like as I have played them before and think it was well planned out.

Unity Tutorial 05

Unity Tutorial 05

We made Weapons, Scripted and Collect Gem Text Box

My Experience

I found this tutorial very enlightening because of how I am learning that there are plenty of work and understanding that goes into making a good game. I feel like it was really good and well explained I enjoyed making the Text Box for the mouse it was fairly easy but keeping track of which goes where was pretty difficult. The most challenging part of the process was trying to position the weapon (AXE) So I knew how the animation was going to turn out but I got there in the end. The only thing that I am trying to get a hang on is the texture because of how many steps they have before you can make it suit the environment also you have the new way of trying to add keypad inputs to make the animation of the swinging of the Axe.

I feel like the assignment really helped me grow and develop my skills and I think that I have a lot to learn from using unity. It has given me more confidence to be able to go through with more tutorials and hopefully make my game design work.

Game Vision Statement

My Game Vision Statement for Space Pong

The purpose for me making a Vision Statement for my space pong game will help describe the content I want on the game, to have a plan for implementation. It will really help me because I will be able to make my plans and ideas in more detail and I will be able to see it in writing to know if I am on the right path and if my ideas make sense or not and make changes towards it. So basically I will see all my best ideas and remove or skip over the failed one which makes it best for me to focus on the straight forward easier tasks at hand.

Introduction

Space Pong is a Casual Game because you have a base that you are trying to protect and there is a meteor trying to destroy the base and you deflect the meteor to destroy your opponents base vice verse for him as well. It will be PC compatible as it is a PC game also it will be made my unity  that will appeal to all age groups preferably 13+ and above.

Description

In a world where you are wondering through the deepest darkest parts of the spaces nebula in a void of nothingness where you discover that there is a base on the far corner of space with other life forms inside, out of nowhere a spontaneous explosion from above out of the ashes hurdling at a rapid pace is meteor out of the ashes both of you are unable to get out of there on time forcing you to go on the defensive and deflect the meteor away with your shields. Will you be left standing after the explosion?

Main Features

  • Endless Survival

Genre

This is a Casual Game there not that many rules it is quite simple to follow it follows the basic survival game logic. It focuses on defending your base.

Resource

There will be some resources needed for the development of the game such as texture for the character's and background and perhaps for the natural disaster. The textures can be made or downloaded.

Target Audience

The game is targeted to players that enjoy Survival based games. It is very PG 13.

Game Play

The game play will be somewhat face paced as it will have repetitive back and forth banter as the player is desperately trying to keep his base and possibly his own life from being destroyed by a meteor. The player must also try to destroy the other opponent to keep his life intact.

Unity Tutorials

Unity Tutorial 03

In this tutorial I was taught how to make a fully animated moving clock. I thought that it would very simple to make and a part of me still thinks that is very simple to make, but I was very surprised. when I open up the tutorial because the whole information was in text and it really threw me off because I am a visual learner and I knew I am very good at following instructions but I like to see what I am doing and follow along so I already knew that this was going to be a big challenge for me with so much information cramped up in 1 go.

As I was building the structure of how the clock was going to look it seemed pretty simple because I had no problem with that at the time but then as I started to go deeper and get the C# scripting it was getting pretty complicated because I was unable to understand what purpose each code had to do and it made me nervous that I would not be able to finish this tutorial. I took a little break to calm down because I felt like I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of information that I had to process and when I came back I was able to find the issues with the clear mind.

I really enjoyed this task because I was able to push myself beyond my comfort zone and look through the text and back track to figure out where I went wrong which I think helped me improve on my problem solving skills.

Mechanics, Dynamics and Aesthetic also known as MDA was developed as a Guideline when it comes to Game Design and Tune Workshop at the Game Developer Conference San Jose 2001-2004

Mechanics are rules that the game follows, Example would be Shooters and Golf.

Dynamic describes the run time behavior of the mechanics  that act on the players input for others output over time.

Aesthetic are how the player experiences inside the game. There are a few types of experiences or as they are known "fun" such as Sensation, Fantasy, Narrative, Challenge, Fellowship, Discovery, Expression and Submission.

Feedback Strategies

Feedback Strategies

The first article that decided to go with was "Try Feedforward Instead Of Feedback" by a man called Marshall Goldsmith. I was understanding the good points that they were trying to get across on the article such as the following:

The feedback you give towards a person or object should not meaningless or empty because you want to give them information on the feedback on why you think it fell down in some areas and what they can do to improve it or even what you would like them to do to help better themselves in there current or future projects.

They also taught me that it does really matter how high you are in terms of power or rank because anybody will need feedback and whichever areas you feel that they lack in and just because someone teaches you new information and how to do it doesn't mean you cant advise them with feedback and how to get the main point across or what to talk about that they missed some whole topic around it.

“Mistakes should be examined, learned from, and discarded; not dwelled upon and stored.” – Tim Fargo

When I first saw this quote I did not know what it meant but, If I were to take a guess I would say that it is trying to tell us, when someone gives you a feedback you should try adding it towards your project don't just read it and not make changes because without change you will get the same result.

The second article that I also wanted to go with was "The Difference Between Praise and Feedback" by a women called Anya Kamenetz. This book has some very good opinions that I felt were so true and relevant is day to day life because the article talked about the following:

  • Process Praise
  • Praise and Personhood
  • Praise and Feedback

The article was basically trying to explain that parent are always praising kids over little things that does not play a role in their lives like picking up a paint brush and or little tests. It would be more beneficial to interact with them and ask them some questions, talk to them about school or whatever their interests are and get involved with what the kids are doing.

I feel like the articles that I have read were very enlightening, I have really learned how to improve on my feedback comments to help give people hopefully very successful ideas.

Game Idea Research

The Game I Decided

I would like to be able to make a game that I would like to call Space Pong. The game is basically exactly like ping pong but it has been re masted to more of a space theme. The reason why I think that this game would be to work I because I feel like the game itself can transition within the space background and would look good visually. I also feel like the objects can be designed in such a way that it would be able to fit the space theme or make it at the least futuristic. I think that the concept itself would be very popular and original in that genre.

I want the game to be able to be a local 2 player game. I would like the game to be able 2 people fighting to protect there planet from a meteor also know at the ping pong ball. I feel like it would make sense with the background I am going for with stars flying around randomly in the background and we have asteroids that can collide in the middle of the players and hit the ping pong ball which makes it random on where it will go.

Game Mechanic Ideas

  • I would like it to be point based so whenever you score you have to reach a certain number for you to successfully beat the opponent

  • I would like to have a system so whenever you get a certain hours played altogether with all the game you will unlock new maps.

  • I would like to be able to have new skins for the Ping Pong Paddles to be unlocked with every 10 victories.

Here is an image that shows a familiar idea of what I have in mind.

I am trying to get a background during the game like this but I hope to get map moving and having meteors coming out randomly.

Unity Tutorial 2

Preview image for Botsmatic Outline

I really did enjoy the part 2 of this tutorial because it had a lot of useful information regarding how to make the textures look realistic. It also helped me by recapping how to add new textures in to use them when designing the map. I was also very impressed when it came to how easy it was to add objects like water to the map. There are some things that I found hard to grasp and that was the understanding of the coding itself because everything has a purpose and plays a part in the game development process. I am looking forward to being able to make vehicles because it will be fun to try drive and explore the map that you made with machines and equipment also I am looking forward to making my own game with functional NPC's that attack you.

I was able to follow the instructions without any problem on YouTube

Down below is some of the Achievements from the Tutorial
Image result for down arrow
We made a wall and added a wall texture to it to give it the real look.

We also added new stone texture to the ground to make it fuse together naturally for a realistic look.

We added water to the map to make it look more relatable a mountain type terrain.

What is Game Elements?

What are the Qualities of a good game?

The first thing we must do in order to know what a good game looks like, is separate the qualities that may have been applied to the game. There are some main themes that are used in almost all the games and that is that they have rules, conflict, goals, decision making and uncertain outcomes.

What are Atomic Elements of Games?

Well it may have a different meaning or answer depending on who you ask but it is some parts of the game that when you really take a look at it you can see the themes. For example these are something you may consider when looking at the atoms.
  • Players
  • Objective
  • Rules
  • Resources and Resource Management
  • Game State
  • Information
  • Sequencing
  • Player Interaction
  • Theme(Backstory)
  • Games as System

What are Critical analysis?

I know whenever you see critical analysis you thinking that you have to look through somebody work you would say that "It is nice" or you might give it a rating or talk about the bugs and problems. It does not mean trying to find something wrong in the work, you have to give feedback that the person can work off of. You must talk and compare it to other games to see or know what is missing or what could be added to help improve the game. This way you can get your ideas across to make it better and the developer knows where he went wrong and is able to improve or add more that can help benefit you both. If you get stuck try to ask yourself these kind of questions during your Critical Analysis.

  • What challenges did the player face?
  • What actions do the players overcome?
  • Do players affect each other and have purpose?
  • Is the game worth playing again?

Players

I think that players are very important to a game because you must really consider how the game will be able to function with a number of players. The reason why players is so important when planning is the amount of players in the game can be the difference between how hard the game is as well as how quickly the game finishes. When making a game make sure that it is suitable for the game map and the game does not break or taken advantage of. The things that you should think about when making a game regarding players would be.

  • Are the players even?
  • Can players join or leave during the game?
  • How does this effect the play?
  • How many players does the game support?
  • Must is be an exact number to complete?

Objective

When making a game the most important thing that every game needs is an objective because without it there is no meaning and reason to do it. The objective can be used in a lot of different ways because in the game it can be used to make people achieve the goal or follow the story line. The thing that you should think about when planning an objective would be.

  • What is the objective of the game?
  • What are players trying to do?
  • Does your objectives benefit what comes next?

Fixed Mindset

Isolated Mindset
I was reading about "what fixed mindset is" I found out what it is about and the problems of fixed mindsets. I think that fixed mindsets can go both ways in terms of positive and negative because to have a fixed mindset is to be 100% certain about what to do and why you are doing it and sticking to the same routine day after day which is very good if you are good at what you do and are doing very well in that area or workplace. However you can also encounter problems with fixed mindsets and that is because you are not open minded, you have one sides thoughts which is a bad thing because once your routine breaks or changes you will not be able to adapt or understand what is going on. I think because they are so used to staying in their comfort zone they always want to stay in a place that they are good at. It is different to someone with a open mindset because you are ready to take on the challenges and you are completely willing to learn something new because to the person it is not starting all over again from the bottom it is adding new skills to the resume.

Why Rejection hurts so much

I believe that rejection hurts the most because sometimes we may not be ready for it and even when we are ready for rejection we are still in disbelief over the event that just occurred. The rejection can hurt from a number of reasons, 1 of them being from something you love or care about because in your mind everything is going well and then problems happen which lead to the rejection. We are still human and are all vulnerable to devastation and heartbreak. The worse thing that can happen from rejection is that you close yourself up to the world and build up an emotional wall because you do not want to get hurt again which leads to sudden change in character. The most important reason is because we live in a world where we care about how other people see us especially when you try and invest your time around that person the rejection hurts the most when you yourself made the effort and you still were not good enough.
